Ex-President Obama is a Hopless Narcissist and Void of Shame!

About the time Ex-President Obama and Ex-First Lady Michelle were poised to enter the White House to “serve” we-the-people, their combined net-worth was reportedly about $1.3 million. A nest egg that has thereafter reportedly grown to an estimated $40 million to $75 million, depending on the information source.

A net-worth that of course does not yet include a $65 million joint book deal they have since reportedly signed, nor the actual value of a multi-million dollar Obama-Netflix production deal, which was no doubt aided along by one of Netflix’s new board members, Susan Rice, who “served” as Obama’s national security advisor. You know, the same Susan Rice who took the fall for Obama and Clinton by appearing on an array of Sunday talk shows in 2012, as she blatantly lied to we-the-people about the “terrorist massacre” carried out on our U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya (i.e., blaming the deadly attack instead on reaction to an internet video).

And, of course, the above wealth-estimates do not include the over $200,000 per year ex-president lifetime pension; security services; and other U.S. taxpayer-funded perks the Obama’s are also recipient of. Overall, according to data collected by Analytics@American, an online business analytics program from American University, the Obama’s could very well amass an estimated $242.5 million or more during their “post-presidency.”

But, now in his ex-president retirement days, what is this “ex-liar in chief”; this most racially-biased “divider in chief”; this demonstrated enemy-within of our U.S. Constitution, borders, common-language English, and common-culture founded on Judeo-Christian values, etc., now doing with his leisure time? Well, you can be assured he is not striving to protect and preserve our Constitutional Republic for the benefit of present and future generations of Americans!

No, he is not using his oratory skills, wealth, or other resources to help the current administration clean-up the social and economic mess left by him and others. For, much to the contrary, the self-serving narcissistic Obama is once again out on the campaign trail, spreading the same old nation-destructive agenda through the same old pack of lies and same old tools of deception.

And, just in case one has a little difficulty recalling how the Obama agenda of racially-charged lies and deception is packaged, for consumption by his target audience of the “always offended” and “forever victims”—below is a snapshot from the past, from Obama’s “Change We Can Believe In” pitch:

(Reference the following, but a few of the many, historically-demonstrated False and Deceptive Declarations of Candidate/President Barack Hussein Obama)

“We have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division and conflict and cynicism . . . That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, ‘Not this time’ . . . .”

“The first thing I will do as President will be to reverse the illegal and unconstitutional aspects of the Patriot Act, with the stroke of my pen.”

“. . . that means no more illegal wiretapping of American citizens.”

“I don’t want to pit Red America against Blue America. I want to be the president of the United States of America.”

“. . . I taught the Constitution for ten years, I believe in the Constitution, and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We’re not goanna use ‘signing statements’ as a way of doing an end-run around Congress.”

“I pledge to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office.”

“I will sign a universal health-care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family’s premium by up to $2,500 a year.”

“I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will execute the office of president of the United States faithfully, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States.”

“My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government.”

“. . . IRS targeting of political dissidents had “not even a smidgen of corruption”.

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

“. . . I believe in the Second Amendment, I believe in people’s lawful right to bear arms, I will not take your shotgun away, I will not take your rifle away . . . .”

“If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

“. . . U.S. will “do what we must” to stop Iran getting nuclear weapons.”

And, then there is the March 2012 “hot microphone incident” at a joint press opportunity with then-Russian President Dmitri Medvedev prior to a global nuclear security summit in Seoul, South Korea, that picked up then-President Obama whispering to Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility” to negotiate on issues like missile defense after the 2012 election (i.e., during Obama’s second term).

Re: Senator John McCain - - - And a Few Opinions about "Respect, Adulation, and Perspective"

Commonly defined, RESPECT is “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something based on their abilities, qualities, or achievements”; whereas ADULATION involves “obsequious flattery; excessive admiration or praise; hero worship; idolization; glorification; etc.”; while PERSPECTIVE is “a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.”

U.S. Senator John McCain died August 25, 2018, at age 81, following a year-long battle with brain cancer. A heartbreaking struggle not waged and suffered by him alone. For, reportedly, in 2018 an estimated 80,000 new cases of primary malignant and non-malignant brain tumor and other Central Nervous System tumors will be diagnosed in the United States alone.

Senator McCain was laid to rest at the U.S. Naval Academy, following five days of memorial events, beginning in his home state of Arizona. “Five days” of around-the-clock related activities, as the truly touched and concerned seemed overshadowed by a feeding-frenzy of ratings-driven news media and countless attention-craving politicians, self-absorbed celebrities, and others striving to grasp their special moment-in-the-sun. Including attention-seekers many of whom, prior to his death, had publically held the Senator and/or what he stood for in utter contempt, personally and/or politically. As well as a shameful many who chose to use his death and memorial services as a platform to beat partisan political drums.

Senator McCain’s Spouses included Carol McCain (m. 1965–1980); and Cindy McCain (m. 1980–2018). Cindy Lou (Hensley) McCain, born May 20, 1954, whom Senator McCain married in 1980, reportedly inherited a majority stake in the Phoenix Anheuser-Busch beer distributorship her father founded in 1955. At his death, Cindy’s and Senator McCain’s net worth has reportedly been estimated to be about $300 million and $16 million, respectively. Not a bad nest egg from years of “public service” (which is another story for a later time). A most comfortable nest egg none of which is likely to be used to reimburse taxpayer-expenses at the local, state, and federal level involved in accommodating the Senator’s many exorbitant funeral ceremonies.

Fittingly, no honorable military service, or the unspeakable cruelty suffered as a POW, should be forgotten or disrespected by our nation. Nonetheless, and as a matter of thoughtful perspective, it seems important also that our we remain mindful that John McCain was but one of some 2.7 million Americans who served in Vietnam (out of about 9 million military personnel serving on active duty during the Vietnam Era of August 1964 – May 1975). A war claiming the lives of over 58,000 members of our U.S. Armed Forces and seriously wounding more than 300,000 others.

Although the percent that died is similar to other wars, amputations or crippling wounds were 300 percent higher than in World War II, resulting in over 75,000 Vietnam veterans being severely disabled. A war that reportedly also killed over 200,000 South Vietnamese soldiers; more than one million North Vietnamese and Viet Cong fighters; and an estimated two million civilians on both sides.

By any reasonable measure, the attention given to Senator McCain’s passing was relatively immense, if not unduly extreme. To what extent sincere and justified remains a matter of perspective. In any case, it is time for our nation to get back to the business-at-hand. And in doing so, not lose sight of the crucial effort our country’s Founding Fathers so wisely put forth to leave us with a Constitutional Republic where “we the people” are sovereign.

Where we are free of Kings, Queens, and other governmental Supreme Beings. Free of the liberty-threatening trappings associated with obsequious flattery; excessive admiration or praise; hero worship; idolization; and glorification, etc., of other mere human beings—especially those in government or other positions of power and influence. Whether their name be John McCain, or otherwise.   —William James Moore

A Special Message To The National Football League (NFL)

Below is a special message to the NFL “costume-wearers” and like-minded others who choose to participate in and otherwise contribute to the gross and inexcusable disrespect of our U.S. Flag and National Anthem at NFL events and elsewhere:

“You should get off your knees, and somewhere else on your own time, find a positive, constructive, and otherwise nation-healing way to air your concerns.  As you, the relatively privileged, are fortunate to be often paid millions to “play” a game on make-believe grass, while wearing high-tech protective gear, and covered by the best medical attention money can buy.  As your freedom to do so is protected and preserved by less-privileged others who are often called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice.”

"And, to Nike and other companies that have chosen to support the despicably unpatriotic behavior of the NFL, Colin Kaepernick, and like-minded others, . . . there are no words to fittingly describe the utter contempt due you for your shameful unconditional lust for profit.  Furthermore, if you seriously want to get in touch with what "the ultimate sacrifice" truly entails, then lend an attentive ear, for example, to the personnel in, and families of, our nation's military, police departments, fire departments, etc., and while at it pay a respectful visit to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall and Arlington National Cemetery!"  --- William James Moore

"Seemingly Unexplainable" Absurdities of the Political Radical-Liberal Left

For the most part of August 25 through September 2, 2018, Senator John McCain’s death, and never-seeming-to-end related memorial activities, were used as a platform for bashing of President Trump and his Make America Great Again agenda.  This latest shameful display joining a growing list of prior divide-and-conquer maneuvers.  And now, this first week of September 2018, the "radical-liberal left" starts off with obstructing by all means possible the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.  After which will come something else. As the hissy-fit of the deep-state and its supporters from failure to put Hillary Clinton in place as president unrelentingly continues.

When faced with the endless examples of the “seemingly unexplainable” nation-destructive absurdities of the radical-political left and likeminded others—thankfully, connections to some resemblance of sanity savingly come to mind. Such as:

(1.) A New York Times bestseller book, titled: “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder,” by New York Times bestselling author, Michael Savage; and

(2.) The following quotation, often attributed to Robert A. Heintein: “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.”

“But then . . . along came Trump!”

It was supposed to be a slam-dunk! Starting with 17 candidates, the Republican Party’s brutal and self-devouring primary had ended with one sole survivor, Donald Trump. The Democrat primary, beginning with three candidates, had soon became a race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. With Sanders ultimately endorsing Clinton, as hacked e-mails exposed that top DNC officials had early-on dismissed Sanders as a viable candidate and attempted to undermine and derail his campaign.

Yes, the 2016 presidential election was supposed to be a done deal! Millions had been given and promised a seemingly endless list of “free-stuff” from our trillions of dollars in-debt public treasury. Years of effort had been invested in promoting victimhood, racial/social unrest, and an array of other divide-and-conquer agendas. Political-correctness had been widely entrenched as weapons against truth, fact, reality, free speech, and common sense. So-called mainstream media and entertainment-industry elite had saturated the country with politically biased venom. And, a “Deep State” (liberty-threatening manipulators within the IRS, FBI, and other government agencies) was firmly established to disrupt and roadblock any serious threat to the “status-quo.”

Yes, our U.S. borders would soon continue to be essentially open to all, providing a growing “voter-base” for some, and endless source of “cheap labor” for others. And, essentially forever secure would be the positions of power and influence, within the self-sustaining partnership between the radical/irresponsible elements of both the political-left and political-right—the entrenched base of irresponsible career politicians, lobbyists, and bureaucrats—the Washington DC “swamp.”

But then . . . along came “President Trump”! A wealthy businessman; Washington “outsider”—a threat to the “swamp.” A president putting U.S. interests above that of other nations, and U.S. citizens’ rights above the welfare of illegal aliens; striving to replace nation-destructive political correctness with truth, fact, reality, and common sense; publicly declaring radical/Islamic terrorists to be “radical/Islamic terrorists”; committed to the seemingly impossible task of “Making America Great Again”; donating his taxpayer-funded salary to charity; and expressing a Merry Christmas Wish as a “Merry Christmas” Wish! A president with more U.S. preserving accomplishments during his first year in office than most if not all his predecessors (“the biggest Tax Cut and Reform Bill in America’s history”; “destruction of the ISIS caliphate”; and a “historically unmatched booster-shot to U.S. economy”—being none the least among hundreds of crucial achievements so far). All while swimming upstream against opposition in both political parties; a hostile mainstream news media; an on-going, nation-damaging hissy-fit from election sore-losers; and a “deep state” committed—not to our U.S. Constitution, liberty, and freedom—but to our President’s and country’s failure.

Seems Abraham Lincoln was unsettlingly prophetic when reportedly stating, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

But what do I know, I’m just an old unapologetic “deplorable” — and likely now labeled by the self-absorbed and self-proclaimed "politically-correct" as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamaphobic.  —William James Moore

"Senate Democrats" vs "Our U.S. Constitution"

If "we the people"---who yet remain blessed with some resemblance of sanity---don't soon drain the Washington D.C. Swamp of these and other likeminded anti-U.S. Constitution "enemies from within" .  .  . our country will ultimately one day be lost!  Along with the precious liberty and freedom now too often being abused and taken for granted!

A “Less Than Warm-Hearted” Message To The Radical Political-Left

Your pompous and otherwise grandiose outcries; your disruptive public demonstrations; and your 24/7 biased-media support, now being carried out in defiance of enforcement of long-standing U.S. immigration control laws, of course have absolutely nothing to do with “concern or caring” for fellow human beings. Other than possibly in the minds of a relative few very misguided and innocently ignorant souls caught up in this among your latest attempts to deny, discredit, and disrupt the nation-saving efforts of the Trump administration.

Yes, your above referenced radical political-left agenda driven behaviors are not about concern and caring for illegal aliens and/or the children they (not the U.S.) put at risk. Rather, such behaviors have everything to do with “votes”; “cheap labor”; and other matters concerning “money.” That is, votes for the democrat party; cheap labor for certain business interests irrespective of political affiliation; and money from the public treasury to pay the ever-growing tab for accommodating those choosing to disrespect our borders and abuse our nation’s generosity. Money that represents an “expense” to the public treasury (taxpayer) and “income/profit” to the array of businesses and so-called charitable organizations that feed off of legal/illegal immigration traffic.

Furthermore, if you truly have the craving to demonstrate your self-proclaimed unique “concern and caring” for others, you really need not rely upon illegal aliens entering through our Southern borders or elsewhere. You need only to open your eyes and hearts to “our” nation’s long suffering citizens.

For example, it has been estimated that within our U.S. borders there are already more than a half-million “homeless” human beings. Persons-in-need who are living under bridges, in the streets, etc., and fearfully in doubt where their next meal, shelter, or life-threatening circumstance, etc., will come from. It has also been estimated that about one-fourth of these more than half-million “homeless” are “children.” And, it has furthermore been estimated that at least 50,000 of our nation’s homeless are “U.S. Veterans.”

A most shameful national disaster that has for years been and remains unaddressed—right under our noses. An ever-growing tragedy that has yet to draw meaningful attention from the more fortunate and influential among us. Least of all, constructive attention from you the radical political-left, your biased news media, and likeminded others, who are hell-bent to put illegal aliens and criminal aliens above the interests of U.S. citizens. As you continue your centuries-old efforts to destroy our nation with socialist (someone else pays) agendas.

So, here’s a truly novel idea, along with a most sincere request directed at you and whomever else the shoe fits (so to speak): Instead of hanging around here in ceaseless pursuit of ways of destroying our constitutional republic and liberty therefrom, and to be ever-plagued by the likes of me and other despicable deplorables that endlessly offend you and get in the way of everything you consider yourself “deserving of” . . . please “very timely” pack up your things and make a not-round-trip move elsewhere to your socialist/dictator-country of choice.

In doing so, it is suggested that you give priority consideration to a residence in socialist-destroyed Venezuela or dictator-ravaged North Korea. Where you can best use your own resources and self-proclaimed expertise to—directly on site—demonstrate your “governing skills” and your abundance of “concern and caring” for all those who are struggling to escape to the U.S. or elsewhere.

And for the U.S.-haters, never-Trumpers, and likeminded others, who choose to remain here and continue your disregard for the rights and needs of U.S. citizens, please share your gated communities, personal residences, private clubs, armed security services, and your other personal resources, etc., with the illegal aliens and families thereof that you succeed in adding to the burden of our already much in debt nation. Thereby taking a special opportunity to publicly evidence the personal embodiment of the unique nature of “concern and caring” the radical political left continues to attribute solely to itself.

A Simple, Painless, & Obvious Solution To The U.S. National Debt

Along with every other U.S. citizen, each of our grandchildren’s share of “our” rapidly growing $21 trillion National Debt is now about $65,000 (or roughly $174,000 per U.S. taxpayer).

But we need not worry, for the solution is simple, painless, and obvious:

(1.) Try hard to NEVER vote in any of our nation’s future elections;

(2.) However, if vote we must, then without fail always support: open borders; uncontrolled immigration; and “FREE” housing, food, clothing, medical care, income-inequality cash allowances, smartphones, college education, transportation, child care, legal counsel, and entertainment—for everyone defined by our all-knowing, all-trusting federal government as being “in need” (e.g., government-selected demographics from which votes for the status-quo or agenda-of-the-moment are in dire need); and

(3.) Strictly on an optional basis, consider some serious prayers for future generations of Americans, .  .  . that is, just in case Steps (1.) and (2.) don’t work out so well for some unforeseen reason.

—William James Moore

=    =    =

PS - In follow-up to the above reality-exposing satire on the subject, please now read the below separate Post titled: "Our" U.S. National Debt.

"Our" U.S. National Debt

Throughout our nation and the world there are of course countless examples of “good,” “greatness,” and “things done proper.” Those positive and uplifting sides of humankind—the parts that too often are very much short-changed on encouraging attention and due gratitude. None the least the unique and much sought after nature of liberty and opportunity so far available only in America. However—and importantly so—this writing is not about such things.

Rather, these words are about a human-created menace. One posing a rapidly increasing threat to the future of our country’s children and grandchildren of today and generations not yet born. A menace to their liberty and livelihood, in large part the result of, and continuing to feed upon, wide-spread ignorance, apathy, complacency, denial, and greed. More specifically, this is about “our” rapidly growing and very much out of control U.S. National Debt!

One that, as of March 15, 2018, exceeded $21 trillion ($21,000,000,000,000)—a little more than six months after first surpassing a likewise staggering $20 trillion. Now roughly amounting to about $64,562 for every U.S. citizen, or $174,190 for every U.S. taxpayer, or five times the present yearly federal government tax revenues. A debt now greater than the entire U.S. Gross National Product (GDP)—the total value of all of the country’s goods and services—forecasted for Fiscal Year 2018. Of course this unconscionable burden doesn’t include the “real debt elephant in the room”—our U.S. Federal Government’s “Unfunded Liabilities.” Which basically consist of future-promised benefits not realistically and confidently backed-up. For example, promises to future recipients of Social Security, Medicare, and Veterans benefits, etc. Unfunded Liabilities which 2018 estimates show to now exceed $112 trillion—or, about $344,666 for every U.S. citizen, or $930,115 for every U.S. Taxpayer.

These truly unsustainable nation-destructive burdens continue to be enabled by those willing—through ignorance or intent—to kick-the-can of responsibility and consequences down the road. Nevertheless, among life’s certainties, there will be a time of reckoning. And the consequences will likely mandate the hardest of decisions and a nature of hardship and sacrifice that a diminishing few living today can begin to envision.

Leaving now among life’s likewise many uncertainties—upon which generation of Americans will we the now so-called adults in the room let this shameful legacy fall?

And, when questioning our hopes and resolve in ever reining in our irresponsible and out of control federal government—and our personal cravings from the public treasury—possibly a booster shot of encouragement can be found in the following: “I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.” —Helen Keller (1880-1968), American author, political activist, lecturer, and first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Being hell-bent to trouble others with my unsolicited and often less than uplifting opinions, have included some facts and views on subject in a little book titled, “Our” U.S. National Debt—101: A Shameful Liberty-Threatening Legacy Being Passed To America’s Young Children, Grandchildren, & The Not Yet Born. Done so with no delusions at all that such will put a noticeable dent in anything or cause a tremor that adjusts the tilt of the Earth’s axis, etc. Nevertheless, just had to give it a shot.  —William James Moore

Humankind's "Good Side" Not Obsolete Yet!

Our reportedly distant ancestors were no doubt highly awe-struck when human-made “fire,” the “wheel,” etc., first came on the scene.  As we are today (at least for a fleeting moment) in a rapidly changing world of self-driving cars; artificial intelligence (AI); smartphones that are turning all ages into screenagers; high-tech camera’s; texting “apps” (software applications) that aid spelling and grammar (or hinder such, depending on one’s perspective); TVs and other technology that respond to our voice instructions; and an array of mobile devices that can keep us "connected" 24/7 to everything that walks, flies, and breathes.

Ever-growing technological achievements that seem to be able to do anything we can do, but much faster, smarter, more efficient, and otherwise better.

However, at or before reaching the point when our human obsolescence seems truly and intimidatingly evident, possibly we would be well served to pause, take a deep breath, and get back in touch with some reality.

By, for example, undertaking an Internet search for—let us say just as a starteran “app” that can perform something as basic as the often taken for granted and seemingly unremarkable task of “tying one’s shoe strings.”

Followed by, and much more importantly, a search for technological innovations that can, for example, provide: a warm, welcoming, reassuring human handshake or other appropriate touch; an approving, affectionate, or otherwise uplifting human smile; a from-the-heart human spoken and human felt expression of gratitude, appreciation, love, affection, compassion, encouragement, sympathy, empathy, or true concern; or a long awaited, much needed, appropriate human hug.

Not by way of computer-generated bells, whistles, balloons, graffiti, smiley faces, or other make-believe graphics, etc.  But, by way of, and thus far only attainable from, “human beings.” More specifically, those having the ability and willingness to personally share such universal human wants and needs with one another.

And while at it, we might give a shot at looking for an "app" or other technological wizardry that can demonstrate some basic spirituality, faith, courage, heroism, self-sacrifice,  and realization that "we" are not the Supreme Being, etc.

The above suggested or similar-purposed searches in futility will likely reveal that we have not yet totally obsoleted ourselves.  For, reassuringly, humankind’s uniqueness and good side not only remain irreplaceable and in strong demand, but likely represent our only plausible firewall against our world’s undeniable abundance of evil and destructive negativity.

Realities that hopefully never escape our constructive acknowledgment and appreciation, as we continue to endure the commercial glorification of the many real and imagined wonders of technological advances around us.

Technological advances which are, by the way, of "human" origin. Be they self-inflicted blessings, or curses.

The Many Faces & Enablers of the Washington DC "Swamp"/"Deep State"

The Washing DC “Swamp”/“Deep State” has many faces.  None the least, the so-called mainstream media and others who—as they now spend 24/7 trashing President Trump and his agenda—not so long ago spent over eight years singing (and yet continue to sing) the praises of then Candidate/President Barack Hussein Obama.  As he and his spokespersons saturated our nation’s ears with utterances known then by him and others, and now by an open-minded many, to be just so much BS and in many cases blatant lies.  Such as:

“My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government.”

Somebody else made that happen.”

. . . U.S. will “do what we must” to stop Iran getting nuclear weapons.

= = = =

Well, so much for “Change We Can Believe In"!  But, of course, the faces and enablers of the Washington DC “Swamp”/”Deep State” do not end with those mentioned above.  For, there are many others. None the least the radically-liberal element of the Democrat Party. AND, that part of the “Republican Establishment” who, instead of fighting for a “Make America Great Again Agenda”—would be much willing to “lose” the now majority in the House and Senate.  So that they, while continuing to receive their lucrative taxpayer funded salaries and special benefits, could bask in position of being the “helpless minority.”  And therefore be seemingly “not ultimately accountable” for much of anything—other that conning us into keeping them in their positions of self-serving power and influence.

= = = =

And whether the many faces and enablers of Washington DC “Swamp”/“Deep State” continue to win, will in the long-haul depend, for example, upon what the rest of us do with the power that rests within our “vote” and within the “ratings we support” by way of the media stations we tune into, etc. And, the “effort we put into” trying our best to be factually-informed citizens; and the sacrifices we are willing to make, and demand that others make, in combatting our nation’s many ills (none the least, the out of control National Debt we keep kicking down the road to be dealt with by our country’s young children, grandchildren, and the yet unborn).

= = = =

But what do I know, I’m just an old unteachable, unfixable, and unapologetic deplorable. One who, through ignorance and inattention, etc., spent too long being part of the problem and offering little towards solutions.  And one who has likely offended someone with these views (again, unapologetically so).    —William James Moore.

Some Thoughts About "Business BS"; "Personal Privacy"; "Freedom of Speech"; and "Manipulated Reality"

Facebook (FB) CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg returned to Washington DC Capitol Hill the morning of April 11, 2018 to another round of questions prompted by the recently revealed “Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data scandal.”  Involving Cambridge Analytica’s collection of personally identifiable information of some 87 million Facebook users.  Personal data used by Cambridge Analytica to influence voter opinion on behalf of politicians who hire them.

The day prior, April 10, Mr. Zuckerberg was “grilled” by 44 senators during a five-hour hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary and Commerce Committees.  “Grilled” by politicians many if not most of whom have been willing recipients of untold thousands of dollars of FB political contributions and attention of FB lobbyists.  “Grilled” by politicians that know about as much about the related technology as they do about rocket science and the origin of the universe.  In any case, the whole ordeal makes for one heck of a show.

It is noteworthy that during his April 10 Washington appearance Mr. Zuckerberg stressed in words to the effect that FB’s aim is to offer a social media platform that facilitates togetherness between friends, families, communities, countries, etc.  Which of course is just so much “business BS.”  For, in reality, FB’s aim is to collect user-information that can be used for targeting advertisements to respective user-preferences (e.g., our respective “Likes”).  Benefiting from the fact that the more personal information and other feedback we users freely provide FB, the more effective and dollar-valuable their targeted ads.  Hence, FB is not about promoting togetherness, but, rather, everything to do with appealing to the fact that we humans are for the most part social beings that crave attention and acceptance in one fashion or another.

In any case, whether it be FB, Google, our phone calls, e-mail, or otherwise—“personal privacy” seems to no longer be a relevant issue.  For, the technological cat has long ago been out of the bag and we are fooling ourselves to believe that any resemblance of “privacy” yet exists.

However, what continues to be an ever-growing threat to our liberty and freedom is the use of social media and Internet search platforms (such as FB, Google, etc.) to restrict and/or manipulate what we see and don’t see.  Given the information-glut we are overwhelmed with today, truth versus falsehood is often difficult enough to distinguish—even without the help of technology beyond the comprehension of the majority of we lessor beings.  Technology in the hands of an out of sight, uncontrolled, and potentially biased few, having the means and opportunity to carry out agendas that threaten our liberty and ultimately our nation’s survival.  —William James Moore

A "Heads-Up" to Law-Abiding U.S. Citizens Who Own or Sell Knives!

England was among the leaders of the pack who years ago disarmed its law-abiding citizens and opened its borders to immigrants and others committed to never assimilating England’s culture.  And with such notable achievements in in mind, in February and March of 2018, London (similar in size to New York City) reportedly reached the milestone of recording more homicides than New York for the first time in modern history.  With most of London’s murder victims not being shot to death—but, rather, stabbed to death.  And given this trend and related publicity pressures, on Sunday, April 8, 2018, London’s politically-progressive Muslim Mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced a tough crackdown on knives.  Reportedly tweeting: “No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.”

No doubt London’s recently declared war against “knives” will be soon followed by one similar against “acids.”  In that the United Kingdom reportedly has one of the highest rates of acid attacks per capita in the world.  With year 2017 being London’s worst ever for “corrosive liquids” being used to maim victims in muggings or punishment attacks.

Yes, our world will be a much, much safer place as soon as we dream-up, pass, and enforce enough laws to rid the planet of everything that can be used as a weapon (guns, knives, acids, automobiles, fertilizer, pressure cookers, ball bats, etc., etc.).  A clearly awesome task that may take a while.

In the meantime, back in the U.S.A., the least and “most caring” and most “feel good” thing to do is follow London's lead.  And unrelentingly pursue suicidal efforts to ensure that all law-abiding citizens are stripped of any/all means of self-defense, and that our nation's borders are unsecured and open to all.  While always ensuring that aims to do so never get side-tracked by any resemblance of sanity.  Nor commonsense focus on the “user” of weapons in unlawful acts against others.  For such distractions would not only be grossly politically-incorrect, but also blatantly offensive to those hell-bent to destroy our U.S. Constitution, borders, common-language (English), and common-culture founded in Juedo-Christian values.      —William James Moore

At What "Age" Responsible?

It seems likely the only certainty about “age” is that the more of it one is fortunate to have, the less remains available.  Available to handle what conversely seems to be an ever growing number of challenges.  None the least, making informed and otherwise responsible decisions.  Such as, how to best protect our school children and their teaching staff from being harmed by persons having murderous aims.

The unthinkable massacre recently taking the lives of some 17 students and staff at a high school in Parkland, Florida has—once again—justifiably elevated cries for prevention of such atrocities. With age-restrictions, enhanced background checks, elimination of all or various types of guns, etc., being among the more notable measures being pursued by a variety of individuals, groups, and agendas.  And as our well-intentioned race for quick and effective fixes is undertaken, hopefully we will not lose touch with reality and common sense.

For example, evil seeking to do harm to innocent others could care less about laws, rules, regulations, or “signs” forbidding their heinous acts and choice of weapons.  And it was not a troubled teenager, but rather two adult men, ages 27 and 40, using not a gun, but rather a fertilizer-based bomb, who killed 168 people, injured more than 680 others, destroyed or damaged some 325 buildings, causing damage estimated to be $652 million—in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 19, 1995.

Likewise, on November 5, 2009, it was not a teen with an abusive home/social life, but rather a 39 year old U.S. Army psychiatrist and Medical Corps Major whoafter shouting "Allahu Akbar!" killed 13 people and wounded at least 30 others, in a “mass murder” he carried out at the Fort Hood Military Base, Texas, using not an “assault rifle”—but rather, a “pistol.”  A tragedy that would have been much worse, were it not for the murderer being eventually felled by a civilian police sergeant armed with a gun.  A senseless tragedy that could have been much less severe, had the murderer not had the benefit of a "gun free zone" to carry out this barbaric atrocity.

The above being but a couple of unsettling reminders that evil can be embodied in a wide range of ages—with access to essentially a boundless nature of weapons.  Hence the importance that we unrelentingly hold our government accountable for effectively carrying out its U.S. Constitution granted powers and responsibilities for protection of U.S. citizens.  While never infringing upon the likewise constitution acknowledged Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.  Including law-abiding citizens the Twenty-sixth Amendment prohibits the federal government from using age as a reason for denying citizens, at least 18 years old, the right to vote.  Including law-abiding citizens who we permit to join our military at age 18 (and at age 17 with parental consent).

Some seem to find logic and peace of mind in our law-abiding being “old enough” to drive a potentially deadly vehicle; vote in our nation’s elections; and to be put in harm’s way in our military—but not “old enough” to purchase and/or possess a hand gun or rifle.  Some feel otherwise.

Somewhere in our quest for solutions is an often muted cry for common sense to prevail.      —William James Moore

Reaping What We Sow — "Our Choices Have Consequences"

Our America has undergone, and will likely continue to experience, many “cultural changes”—all entailing “choices” and “consequences.” Among our worst choices—those resulting in failure to provide our school children and teaching staffs with effective protection from unspeakably horrific massacres.

As should be the case, often there is no shortage of demands for education resources to address needs driven by “advances in technology.” However, too often irresponsibly absent are like demands for resources to effectively “protect lives” in our schools against the heinous threats of today’s world. A truly daunting challenge and moral obligation that continues to get side-tracked, buried, and silenced in an abyss of emotions, miss-information; self-serving political agendas, irresponsible news/social media coverage, etc.

"School safety" is a commonsense duty further encumbered by the unsettling reality that a growing number among us (especially apathetic adults and our more impressionable youth), have even been propagandized with the dangerous delusion that “inanimate objects” (especially guns) somehow have the intent and capability for carrying out murderous or otherwise life threatening acts—“without the hand of humans.” Worse, yet, those offering life-saving, peace-of-mind assuring evidence to the contrary are being shouted-down and demonized as uncaring, irresponsible gun-fanatics, and otherwise socially despicable beings.

Too often disregarded is pertinent information such as, not so many years ago (within my and many existing other’s lifetimes) guns were much more easily accessible in the U.S. than they are today. And, responsibly supervised shooting clubs, rifle teams, etc., were even accepted on various school premises. Schools that even “back then” also included some students who were, for example: treated unfairly; had an abusive home life; were socially neglected; academically challenged; bullied; and at times, even “offended.”

"Back-then schools" where responsible minded students were not expelled for possession of a simple pocket knife, or for drawing a picture of a weapon or a warrior, or for wearing clothing displaying the U.S. Flag, etc. Schools that (regardless of their students’ respective life circumstances) were essentially void of today’s murderous atrocities.

So what has changed and why? The answer: Our American “culture”; for a mix of reasons, including the obvious, illusive, and highly controversial. However, the complexity of the “whys” does not lighten our responsibility for the safety and security of our schools—for the lives of our children and teaching staff. Nor are we absolved from the responsibility to let common sense prevail in our quest for solutions. Starting with accepting that evil does and will continue to exist. And that persons with murderous aims frankly don’t give a damn about laws, policies, age-restrictions, political correctness, “gun-free zone signs" — or about offending someone.

Our solutions must provide our schools with at least the same level of protection we demand (and tolerate) when traveling via commercial aircraft, vacationing on luxury cruise ships, and attending professional sports/other entertainment stadiums, etc. And, we must do so “now”—not later. While keeping responsibly in mind the often late-learned reality that . . . "we (and affected others) ultimately reap what we sow."

"The Deafening Silence of Benign Neglect"

Benign neglect is commonly considered an “attitude or policy of ignoring an often delicate or undesirable situation that one is held to be responsible for dealing with.

We would have zero tolerance for any predictable natural disaster—threatening untold thousands (possibly millions) of us—being treated with the “deafening silence of benign neglect.” Yet, regarding nuclear threats posed by the radical U.S.-hating regimes of Iran and North Korea, we bury our heads in ignorance, complacency, and apathy. Seeking refuge in a suicidal fantasy land of denial, enabled in large measure by irresponsible news/social media, politicians, and others, absorbed in the relatively petty whims of those hell-bent to be “offended” about something. Nevertheless, and at risk of interfering with the “gone viral” of the moment, the following is a much past-due historical reality-check worth pondering.

In August 1945 (during final stages of World War II), the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The (so far) first and only use of nuclear weapons in wartime. Together these two bombings killed an estimated 150,000 to 250,000 people, mostly civilians. About half the deaths occurred the day of bombing. The other half, some 75,000 to 125,000, over the following months, as a result of burns, radiation sickness, and related injuries and illness. About 132 pounds of highly-enriched uranium was used in the bomb released over Hiroshima, Japan’s seventh largest city at that time. It destroyed about 90 percent of the city. About 17 pounds of plutonium-239 was used in the explosive charge of the bomb dropped 3 days later on Nagasaki. Within about 6 years after these horrific bombings, atomic weapon devices were being tested which had explosive forces about a thousand times greater.

On January 30, 2018, U.S. CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, warned that North Korea could have a nuclear weapon capable of striking the United States within “a handful of months. A reality that all our “sanctuary cities/states,” and “safe spaces/pet-puppies/anxiety counselors” in our colleges and universities, etc., will not make go away. A reality we had better soon, seriously, and rationally start having very public national discussion about. For, in the final analysis, the responsibility for our national security rests with “we the people. And, it is our inescapable duty to make clear to all concerned that we will not—under any circumstances—tolerate those chanting “death to America” to have at their disposal, the means to reap indescribable death and destruction upon us. There is no longer a road to kick the can down. Within “a handful of months” North Korea must self-eliminate its nuclear arsenal. Or, “we the people”—through our elected government representatives and military—must take whatever action necessary to eliminate such threat.

And, should courage to deal with this inescapable challenge be in need of a booster shot—a source for such may likely be found in the trusting eyes of our nation’s young children and grandchildren.

U.S. Patriotism: "Once Upon a Time" versus "Now"

In our today’s World, YouTube is of course among the many sources of vast and easily accessible information on virtually every conceivable subject.  Information either considered worthwhile, or otherwise, dependent upon one’s respective views.  As such, on the ever-growing list of the very worthwhile clearly belongs the rendition of our USA National Anthem viewable at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_lCmBvYMRs   (Also accessible by clicking the picture of U.S. Flag located on the right-hand side of this webpage.)

Performed by Whitney Houston at Super Bowl XXV in 1991, this truly talented and respectful rendition, along with the patriotic behavior of the Super Bowl crowd and other attendees, provides a much needed reflection upon what was “Once Upon a Time” versus “Now”.  And, should serve as a serious wake-up call. Especially to those now participating in and contributing to the gross and inexcusable disrespect of our U.S. Flag and National Anthem at NFL events and elsewhere.  A reminder that they should get off their knees, and elsewhere on their own time, find a positive, constructive, and otherwise nation-healing way to air their concerns.  As they, the relatively privileged, are blessed to be often paid millions to “play” a game on artificial grass, while wearing high-tech protective gear, and covered by the best medical attention money can buy.  As their freedom to do so is protected and preserved by less-privileged others who are often called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice.

But, what happened between “then” and “now”?  A lot of course. None the least, eight years under a federal government administration that preached; promoted; encouraged; legislated; and by way of executive privilege, established: division (us vs them; them vs us), racism, victimization, dependency, gender-neutralism; open-borders, anti-patriotism, political correctness (disregard of the truth); sanctuary cities/states (safe harbors for illegal aliens); etc.  A nation-destructive affliction enabled by a radically-liberal biased news media that to date chooses to carry on the same anti-America agenda.

“Abuse of Power” enabled by more “Abuse of Power”

History supports that “abuse of power” is an age-old human condition. With people, animals and other life forms, and the environment, being among the many victims. Casualties of an array of abuses (e.g., physical, psychological, sexual, economic, human rights, etc.). Carried out at times by perpetrators in virtually every aspect of human society (e.g., families; government; news media; social media; religious institutions; educational institutions; law enforcement; medical practice/institutions; financial and charitable institutions; sports and entertainment; business; labor; criminal elements; terrorists, etc.).

History also shows that timely reporting and lawfully-just handling of “abuses of power” are much too often seriously impeded by further—“abuses of power.” A truly sad reality that may be undergoing long awaited change in the U.S., as evidenced by the recent dramatic increase in public accusations of sexual-related abuses in government, business, sports, entertainment, etc. Captivating (at least for the moment) a likewise dramatic increase in news reporting and national attention. Time will tell if this notable trend signals and ultimately renders a long past due, lawfully-just, and otherwise constructive outcome.

As will time also reveal the consequences of our willingness or unwillingness to:

(1.) Demand immediate discontinuance and public accounting of the recently revealed special fund, from which over 17 million U.S. taxpayer dollars have reportedly been paid out in some 268 sexual-harassment and other discrimination settlements within the federal government over the past 20 years;

(2.) Demand immediate repeal of the Freedom of Information Act “exemption” that our U.S. “servants of the people” have reportedly put in place to preclude public disclosure of pertinent information about above referenced taxpayer-funded settlements. Accompanied by immediate (prior to YR 2018 elections) public accounting regarding who received how much, when, and as the result of the accused/actual abuse of power by whom?);

(3.) Apply and support nation-wide respect for the rights of both the accuser and the accused, including “presumption of innocence” until lawfully proven otherwise. Lest the rights and protection of our U.S. Constitution be disregarded and replaced by mob-rule driven by the absence of clear distinction between an accusation and a lawfully-proven truth;

(4.) Meaningfully grasp the relevance and importance of the following very applicable quotes of James Madison (4th U.S. President and a U.S. Founding Father): “Knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives,” and, “Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of liberty, but also by the abuse of power.”

“People-caused Tragedies” versus “Wishful Blaming of Things”

What to some may seem like only yesterday, on October 01, 2017 a shooting massacre in Las Vegas took the lives of at least 59 and injured hundreds of others. And as many struggle to cope with, or strive to erase recall of, that horrific tragedy, we are provided with continuing evidence that truly despicable evil exists in the hearts and minds of some among us. Such as, the radical Islamic terrorist that used a truck to kill at least 8 and injure many others in New York City on October 31. And, more recently, the killer that used a gun to massacre at least 26 and wound some 20 others in a rural Texas church on November 5 (a tragedy that could have been worse had not a local resident been willing and able to use his personal gun to confront the killer). As truly terrible that these within-our-borders tragedies are, such are but a relative few of the countless carried out worldwide, past, present. And, no words can fittingly communicate the heinous nature of such barbaric assaults against humankind, nor relate the resulting pain, suffering, and other associated trauma.

Many among us strive and struggle to understand “why” anyone is capable of and chooses to carry out such unspeakable acts. Nonetheless, it just possibly might be a natural blessing that most of us continue to be frustrated by our failure to grasp such understanding. For, to truly understand such unspeakable behaviors would seem to require being able to make sense out of that which truly makes no sense. An understanding that might well ultimately require a heart and mind in dangerous likeness to those who harbor and carry out the very despicable evils that we are puzzled and threatened by. Hence, maybe a more realistic response to such evil would be to accept that it does exist; that some among us will attempt or succeed in carrying out acts of evil; and therefore take realistic steps to prevent and defend against such. Beginning with a discontinuance of efforts to disarm law abiding citizens and otherwise restrict our rights and ability to defend ourselves. And, by also ceasing to pretend that such acts of evil are harbored, planned, and executed by “things” (guns, knives, cars, trucks, aircraft, explosives, fertilizer, etc.), rather than by unhinged “people”.

Likewise, in realistically focusing on “evil’s reality” and “people behavior” versus “things”—possibly we, the mainstream media, and our government representatives and leaders, can soon, rather than too late, include a fitting level of responsible attention to our nation-wide and rapidly growing “addictive drugs” epidemic. For, “people” abusing opioids and other legal and illegal addictive drugs now represent the leading cause of injury related death in the United States. Exceeding injury related deaths from use of cars and guns. For example, since 2002, over 500,000 people in the U.S. have died from drug overdoses. An average of over 35,000 per year. About 1 drug overdose death every 15 minutes! And, it is a rapidly growing reality that someone in each of our respective families has been or will be touched by the devastation of drug abuse, dependency, and addiction. Or that our families know of someone who has, or likely will be!

"Epitomes of Reckless Absurdity"

Our country’s many responsible inhabitants, striving to do the right thing, are in uphill struggle with a growing mix of daunting obstacles. Including an array of “epitomes of reckless absurdity”. What follows are but a randomly-listed few:

(1.) U.S. citizens (and illegal aliens) who continue to demand [and politicians who continue to promise] free healthcare, free food, free housing, free transportation, free education, free smartphones, etc., — while facing a rapidly growing national debt exceeding $20 trillion (over $62 thousand per citizen; $169 thousand per taxpayer). A staggering obligation that does not include our in excess of $108 trillion of Unfunded Liabilities (over $900 thousand per taxpayer) — consisting of Medicare Parts A, B, and D; Federal Debt held by the Public; plus Federal Employees’ & Veterans’ Benefits). All in irresponsible defiance of the simple reality that nothing is truly free; someone must eventually pay.

(2.) NFL players who equate their relatively privileged life circumstances to that of men, women, and children, of the distant past and present, who actually suffered or are suffering the ravages of slavery and other persecution, — as said players are paid millions of dollars to “play” on artificial turf, wearing high-tech protective gear, with access to the best health care money can buy. While in turn experiencing security and freedom created, protected, and preserved through the sacrifice of countless others.

(3.) U.S. citizens who continue to tolerate, encourage, and often demand, unrestricted, self-destructive, government spending, — while ignoring or ignorant of the simple reality that the only money “the government” has is that which it taxes from we the people, or borrows from we citizens and other countries, or prints. With money borrowed from other countries becoming our debt, and additionally printed money ultimately devaluing our U.S. currency.

(4.) Persons who equate our current duly elected U.S. President and/or his predecessors, with past and present barbaric dictators, such as Germany’s Adolf Hitler, Russia’s/Soviet Union’s Joseph Stalin, and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, — while in doing so demonstrating their blatant disregard and/or dangerous ignorance of world history as it truly relates to the Nazi Party, Communist Party, Marxism, Leninism, Fascism, etc.

(5.) And, those who in the face of what they view as “offensive speech” cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate, a stress-relieving pet-puppy/kitten, and staff of counselors, in a taxpayer-funded “Safe Space” in one of our colleges and universities, — as others at great (often ultimate) sacrifice are called upon to protect the freedom of even those who choose to abuse it.

Hopefully, the countless we depend upon to protect our liberty do not one day choose to “take a knee” or “scramble for a Safe Space,” — and leave our precious, envy of the world, constitutional republic, at the mercy of the consequences of these and other “epitomes of reckless absurdity.” As the can of our irresponsible national debt continues to be kicked down the road for our children and grandchildren to deal with.

“Hope Survives Age-old Struggle of Good versus Evil”

The October 01, 2017 massacre of some 58 and injury of hundreds of others in Las Vegas was a despicable act of horrific cruelty. Among untold others worldwide, past and present. Another painful reminder that, in a world of much good, there also exists considerable evil.

Nevertheless, from heartbreaking struggle with such evil, “good” can be the ultimate victor, and “hope” a crucial survivor. As demonstrated by the many, from all walks of life, who unfailingly confront evil’s despicable works. The list is long: first responders; law enforcement; medical professionals; an array of unnamed others; and on the world stage, our military. People giving of themselves through often heroic acts of courage and self-sacrifice. Invaluable demonstrations of true caring for fellow human beings.

Unfortunately, for many the triumph of “good” over “evil” can be long coming, or never realized. Often from ignorance, apathy, complacency, denial, greed, and fear, of those having the means for life circumstances to be otherwise. As evidenced, for example, by millions massacred not so long ago at the hand of Adolph Hitler’s regime, as too many nations for too long turned their heads away. And, more recently, as demonstrated by millions trapped in the menacing jaws of barbaric regimes such as North Korea, and countless others worldwide deprived of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As some among us take for granted, and/or choose to show disrespect for, our precious liberty and freedom and nation’s symbols of same.

The faces of evil are many and often masked. However, regardless of where, when, and how revealed—evil originates not in “things” (knives, guns, explosives, car-bombs, hijacked-aircraft, etc.), but in the hearts and minds of humankind. In “intent” and “choices.” And, while fortunately a relative few have the “intent” and “choose” to do so—every able body human being has the ability to harm others. But, rather than acknowledging and trying to constructively deal with these aspects of human nature, many prefer to deny or ignore such and futilely continue to blame human failings on “things.”

A self-destructive path, as evidenced, for example, by related circumstances playing out in Great Britain. Where, after guns being purged from law abiding citizens and routine law enforcement personal, they are often essentially defenseless against armed terrorists and other criminal elements. Including those reportedly carrying out epidemic levels of horrifying attacks with “knives” and “acids.” Other reminders that the distracting focus on “things” fails to meaningfully address the “evil intent” in the hearts and minds of some. And that those hell-bent to inflict cruelty upon others, have at their disposal an essentially limitless array of ways and means.

The “good vs evil” struggle is an age-old human condition. And, as historically the case, the victor between these two conflicting sides of humankind will likely always be—the one we choose to nurture the most. As individuals and a nation. Therein likely rests the prospects for hope’s survival—and our ultimate fate.

Never Forget!

New York City, New York; February 26, 1993: In an attack planned and carried out by a group of terrorists, a truck loaded with some 1,336 pounds of explosive was detonated underneath the North Tower of the New York City World Trade Center. The explosion was meant to destroy both towers and kill thousands of people, by causing the North Tower to fall into the South Tower. Although the explosion failed to do so, six people lost their lives and over a thousand more were injured as a result of this (potentially even more so) gruesome act.

And, eighteen and a half years later—again on U.S. soil—the unthinkable! Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001: Both towers at the New York World Trade Center were destroyed in conjunction with “four” coordinated suicide attacks. Using four passenger airliners, hijacked by nineteen al-Qaeda Islamic-terrorists. Two of the aircraft being crashed into the North and South World Trade Center Towers; another crashed into our U.S. Department of Defense Headquarters—the Pentagon; and the fourth originally intended for a Washington D.C. target, crashed into a Pennsylvania field after heroic passengers attempted to overtake the hijackers. Overall, these horrific atrocities took the lives of some 2,996 people, and caused over $10 billion in property and infrastructure damage. The lives lost included 2,507 civilians, 55 military personnel, 343 firefighters, 72 law enforcement personnel, and the 19 suicidal hijackers. And countless others who have and will yet die from disease and other health issues attributed to contaminated air, debris, etc., from these tragedies.

The above cited 1993 and 2001 foreign-terrorist attacks on the U.S. homeland happened as over four-hundred taxpayer-funded Federal Government Agencies went about their various, and often self-serving, agendas. Many of which with aims of regulating and controlling almost every aspect of our lives. Many of which with responsibilities clearly including our personal safety and national security!

And as terrible as these 1993 and 2001 attacks truly were and remain, it could have been much, much worse! For example, had either or both involved “biological” or “nuclear” material, the outcome would to this day, and for countless years to come, been one that could reasonably be described as in the realm of the “absolutely horrifyingly-unimaginable!” The “truly unthinkable”!

Thereafter—Al-Qaida, ISIS, and other radical/militant Islamists groups and affiliates, have continued their horrific atrocities against countless men, women, and children. Unspeakable atrocities, including public decapitations, crucifixions, drownings, being burned alive, sexual slavery, brutal raping, mutilations, and other barbaric acts of the most despicable nature. Heinous cruelties carried out as punishment for alleged wrong doings such as, insulting God; spying; listening to music; smoking; failure to ensure that wives and sisters are kept clothed in black abayas; and various other departures from radical/militant Islam teachings and behaviors dictated by radical/militant “Shari law”!

As the same monsters against the civilized world also force men and boys into selected mosques for mandated “prayer and religion classes”—for radicalization in order to further perpetuate the wide spreading evil of radical/militant Islam. Through continuing heinous acts of death and destruction.

As the irresponsible among us, and our enemies within, continue demands for open borders, no immigration control, and unlimited access to the public treasury to support their liberty destroying agendas. As our colleges and universities use taxpayer funds for “Safe Space Facilities” and “Safe Space Counseling” for those seeking refuge from being “offended by words”—by free speech entailing views not in lock-step to their own.  And/or refuge from "information" they find "threatening or discomforting" or otherwise in conflict with their (often dangerously naive) world view.

As for the less naive among us, it is crucial to our liberty and survival that we "never forget"!  Never lose touch with the reality that ancient-rooted evils―radical/militant Islamists―are at war with the civilized world!  An ages-old barbaric threat that we must never, never forget!

“The parallels between 9/11 and Pearl Harbor are striking. In each instance there were warning signs before the attack, and in each instance our government failed to connect the dots.”
—Diane Watson (1933- ), U.S. Representative.

“History is a vast early warning system.”
—Norman Cousins (1915-1990), American political journalist.

“It's not militants. It's not Islam. It's militant Islam. Typically, its first victims are other Muslims, but it spares no one. Christians, Jews, Yazidis, Kurds – no creed, no faith, and no ethnic group is beyond its sights. And it's rapidly spreading in every part of the world. You know the famous American saying: "All politics is local"? For the militant Islamists, "All politics is global." Because their ultimate goal is to dominate the world.”
—Benjamin Netanyahu (1949- ), Prime Minister of Israel.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
―Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865), 16th U.S. President.

A Few Words About Immigration, Dreams, Socialism, & Safe Spaces

"Illegal Immigration is Costing U.S. Taxpayers
at Least $134.9 Billion A Year!"*
*(Re: Detailed analysis of federal, state, and local programs that include education, medical care, law enforcement and welfare as reported by
Judicial Watch, December 2017.)

Lest there ever be a shortage of opinions on such matters, below are a few for consideration:

Reference failed U.S. Immigration Policies, in general: Our nation’s many immigration issues are in large measure the result of years and years of using the arms of government to feed the cravings for cheap labor and votes. As we, our nation’s eligible voters, have failed to seriously demand otherwise. And, nothing will change in this regard until we seriously demand better of ourselves and from our “servants of the people.”

Regarding DACA—the program giving temporary protection to certain individuals illegally arriving in the U.S. as children, reportedly totaling some 800,000, and often referred to as “Undocumented immigrants/migrants,“ and/or “Dreamers”: Congress should immediately stop passing-the-buck and responsibly deal with this long-standing issue. And with our other immigration control shortfalls as well. In doing so, we should dispense with distracting labels such as “Undocumented immigrants/migrants,” “Dreamers,” etc. Regardless of the sugar-coated agenda-driven labels, persons illegally entering the U.S. are just that—“illegal”! And what’s with the “Dreamers” tag? Are we to believe that those illegally within our borders are unique? That is, the millions upon millions of children of legal U.S. citizens do not also have hopes and dreams? Including the countless thousands now living in cars, on the street, under bridges, or in subsidized shelters, etc.

With respect to immigrants granted legal entry to the U.S.: If your plans are to learn and speak English, assimilate U.S. culture, respect and defend our U.S. Constitution, and strive to be productive, self-supporting members of our nation — then Welcome! If not, and you wish to impose otherwise on our nation, then please leave and apply your energies and intentions elsewhere.

And to others among us hell-bent to turn this nation into an abyss of socialism: Please also leave and set up residence in any of the various failed countries on this earth that continue to disregard the following cautionary quote from Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

In closing: Views counter to those expressed herein do not “offended” me. Nor, drive me to seek refuge in a taxpayer funded “Safe Space” in one of our nation’s colleges or universities. Of serious concern, however, is any failure to recognize the critical importance of maintaining our nation’s borders, English language, and culture. And the unsettling prospects of one day entrusting the fate of our nation to those who have been educated, indoctrinated, and accommodated, to close their minds to (and seek refuge from) the free speech of others that they consider uncomfortable, offensive, or threatening. A mindset thankfully absent from our nation’s Founding Fathers and countless thereafter.
